Privacy, in plain language
ALGTUNE only works if you trust it with your attention. Here is exactly how it behaves.
What stays on your device
The text of posts and videos you scroll past is read in your browser to decide what to show. That text is not sent to us or stored anywhere.
What we store
Your account, your AlgTunes and their rules, which tune you have active, and daily counts such as how many items were quieted. On the free plan, counts only, never the items themselves.
Your Filtered history
On the free plan, the list of what was held back lives only on your device and never reaches us. On Pro, your recent Filtered history syncs to your account so it follows you across devices. It is visible only to you, and you can remove items or delete your account at any time.
What we never do
We never sell data, never build an advertising profile, never read your private messages, and never run on sites you have not enabled.
Where the browser add-on runs
Only on the feeds you switch on. It requests access per site rather than to every page you visit.
Limited use
Data obtained through the browser add-on is used solely to provide the filtering features you asked for. It is not transferred to third parties except as needed to run the service, and never for advertising or creditworthiness.
Your controls
Turn any platform fully off at any time, delete a tune, or delete your account, which removes your profile, tunes and counts.
When we are unsure
If our system cannot confidently tell what a piece of content is, it stays visible. We would rather show you something you did not ask for than hide something you wanted.
